The perfect engagement photo location in Southern NH — and a little bit of first snow magic.
If you’re newly engaged and searching for an engagement session location in Southern NH, Northern MA, or anywhere nearby, Woodmont Orchard in Hollis is one of my absolute favorite places to photograph. Quiet, open, and full of natural beauty year-round — it’s the kind of spot that works perfectly for couples who want authentic, candid engagement photos without feeling posed or pressured.
November engagement session at Woodmont Orchard — just before the first snowflakes arrived.
This session with Georgia and Shawn was everything I love about photographing camera-shy, down-to-earth couples who just want real moments and warm connection. They’re both busy (like most of my couples), and they came into this session saying exactly what so many people say:
"We’re not sure what to do in front of the camera."
But the moment they stepped into the orchard, surrounded by soft November light and rows of apple trees and fields, they settled into each other in the most natural way. Nothing stiff. Nothing forced. Just two people soaking in a calm afternoon together.
Woodmont Orchard is one of my favorite engagement photo locations in southern NH — and this session shows why.
Southern NH has so many beautiful engagement session locations, but this orchard is always a favorite.
Georgia & Shawn brought all the warmth to this chilly fall afternoon in Hollis, NH.
The way they look at each other made every frame effortless.
Why Woodmont Orchard Is One of the Best Engagement Photo Locations in Southern NH
If you’re looking for a location that’s peaceful, scenic, and extremely photogenic, Woodmont Orchard checks every box: Wide open fields, Rolling hills, Rows of apple trees, Mountain views in the distance, Gorgeous light at sunset, Privacy, so you never feel like people are watching you.
It’s the ideal setting for couples who want unposed, relaxed engagement photos — especially if you’re a little camera-shy or prefer quiet, natural backdrops.
Whether you’re into hiking, gaming, tech, books, or just cozy weekends at home (many of my couples are!), this orchard has the kind of energy that helps you feel at ease immediately.
Nothing beats the quiet beauty of a New Hampshire orchard in late fall.
Late Fall Engagement Session Vibes
We photographed Georgia and Shawn’s session in mid-November when the leaves were mostly gone, but the orchard was still glowing with warm tones and soft, golden light. I love November sessions because the landscape feels calm and understated — perfect for highlighting connection and emotion.
And then… the magic happened.
As we took the last few photos, the first snow of the season started falling. Tiny snowflakes catching the light, that quiet hush that happens right before winter settles in — it couldn’t have been more perfect. Their final images have this dreamy, peaceful feel that only a surprise snowfall can create.
Southern NH has so many beautiful engagement session locations, but this orchard is always a favorite.
A calm November afternoon turned into a snowy surprise — and it couldn’t have been more beautiful.
Snowflakes falling during the final shots — we couldn’t have planned it if we tried.
Late-fall color + soft snow = the dreamiest New Hampshire engagement session.
Ending an engagement session with snow is officially the best kind of surprise.
